Capitane Records is delighted to announce the forthcoming release of Fervents’ eagerly-awaited Plastic Snake Factory EP, scheduled for October 4. With this second opus, the electrifying trio from Liège plunge into grittier sonic territory, drawing inspiration from the raw energy of the grunge and hardcore punk scenes.

Plastic Snake Factory shows the evolution of Fervents, who explore darker soundscapes while remaining true to their signature: unstoppable melodies and urgent arrangements designed for the stage. The EP is defined by dynamic vocal exchanges between the trio, amplifying the impact of Ben Baillieux’s poignant lyrics. Through vehement cries of anger against societal conformity, struggles against daily addictions and the pursuit of a better life, Fervents embarks on a journey where the quest for El Dorado often leads to unforeseen challenges.

Recorded at Studio Koko in post-industrial Liège under the direction of Laurent Eyen (It It Anita), Plastic Snake Factory was meticulously mixed and mastered in Brighton by Ben Hampson (Ditz, Lambrini Girls) and Katie Tavini (Ditz, The Subways). The result is a 5-track EP pulsating with raw energy and unbridled passion.

Hailing from south-east Belgium, Fervents have been widely acclaimed in recent months for their ferocious punk sound and incandescent live performances. Following their debut EP, which featured the infectious single “Billy”, the trio returned to the studio to create five new tracks that delve deeper into the complexities of the human experience.

With lyrics that confront societal norms and personal demons, set against a backdrop of inescapable melodies and hard-hitting grooves, Fervents offer a visceral experience that resonates with audiences worldwide.
